The Third Species

Today, I found the common kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) hunting for food by the lake (Tasik Aman in USM). Despite its name, the common kingfisher is hardly common on campus. It took weeks of searching to find this critter, and here it is.

There may be more species kingfishers waiting to be found yet. I'm really happy I found this one today.
